Erlyn is a first year PiNBAC trainee from Brooklyn, New York. Erlyn attended Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and majored in Neuroscience. She is currently in the Chen lab at Boston Children’s Hospital and is conducting a behavior project investigating if therapeutics like plasticity improves visual recovery in mice with cortical damage. Erlyn’s research interest centers around the causes and mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases. Outside of making scientific discoveries in the lab, she enjoys cooking caribbean cuisines, dancing, exploring new destinations, and spending time with family and friends.
